The Market Square and the Belfry are about a 10-minute walk from Hotel Albert 1, and Bruges railway station about 12 minutes. You will not need a car during your stay: all the sights, shops and restaurants of Bruges are within walking distance.

Yes. Bruges railway station is about a 12-minute walk away, and the ’t Zand bus stop served by De Lijn is right next to the hotel. That makes Hotel Albert 1 a convenient choice for visiting Bruges without a car, by train or by public transport.

Around ’t Zand and along Zuidzandstraat and Steenstraat, the shopping streets leading to the Market Square, you will find plenty of restaurants, cafés, bistros and shops — all a few minutes’ walk from Hotel Albert 1. Our reception is happy to share personal tips.

No, Hotel Albert 1 has no private car park. The secure underground car park Centrum-’t Zand is 50 metres from the hotel (exit B or C). A cheaper option is the Centrum-Station car park, with a free shuttle bus stopping close to the hotel. Current rates are on our parking page.

In Bruges, follow the signs for ’t Zand. The entrance to the Centrum-’t Zand car park is in the tunnel under ’t Zand. Preferably park on level 1 and take exit B or C: from there it is a 50 to 60 metre walk to Hotel Albert 1.

Cars cannot stop directly in front of the hotel. To load and unload luggage, use Boeveriestraat, the street next to the hotel. Then park the car in the Centrum-’t Zand underground car park.

Hotel Albert 1 has twelve rooms in four types: single rooms, double rooms, triple rooms and a family room for families. Every room has air conditioning, a private bathroom with bath or shower, a flat-screen TV with digital channels, hair dryer, telephone, safe, tea and coffee facilities and free wifi.

Yes. All twelve rooms at Hotel Albert 1 have air conditioning, so you stay comfortable even on warm days. Free wifi is available throughout the hotel, in the rooms and in the common areas.

Depending on the room type, the bathroom has a bath and/or a shower. Rooms with a shower are located from the second floor upwards. Would you specifically like a shower or a bath? Let us know when you book and we will take it into account.

Yes, all rooms at Hotel Albert 1 have fitted carpet; there are no rooms with hard floors. The carpet suits the warm English cottage style of the house and keeps the rooms quiet and cosy.

Yes, by prior arrangement. After 8 pm reception is closed, so you check in yourself with an access code. Mention your late arrival when booking or let us know in advance by phone or email: on the day of arrival you will receive the code and instructions for entering the hotel and your room.

Check-out is by 11 am at the latest. Would you like to enjoy Bruges a little longer afterwards? You are welcome to leave your luggage with us. To keep your room longer, ask for a late check-out until 1.30 pm (€ 35, on request).

Yes, on request and subject to availability: a late check-out until 1.30 pm costs € 35. Ask when booking or at reception during your stay. Without a late check-out, you leave the room by 11 am at the latest.

Yes. If you arrive in Bruges before 3 pm, you can already leave your luggage with us and explore the city until your room is ready. After check-out you can also leave your luggage with us.

A single room costs € 99 to € 200 per night, a double room € 110 to € 250, a triple room € 130 to € 300 and the family room € 180 to € 400 — always including breakfast, service and VAT. A baby cot costs € 20, an extra person € 40.

Yes, the city of Bruges charges a tourist tax of € 4.20 per person per night. It is not included in the room rate and is settled during your stay.
